Tucked in a small-little corner in Chinatown, 8 Treasures is rarely the first on the list when one is choosing a place to dine. Indeed, there is only a handful of our vegetarian friends who are aware of its existence.
Despite being little known, 8 Treasures is a great place to dine. Be it entertaining your business associates. Be it once-in-a-while family dinner. Or be it rare reunion gathering with close friends and families. 8 Treasures offers a cool elegant Chinese setting, but yet the menus are relatively reasonable. Personally, I would say it is the best bargain in town.
The food is nice and yet does not leave a big hole in your pocket. A more than decent 3-course dinner for two costs in the range of $30-$40 at most. From my few occasions patronizing the restaurant, I have always been greeted with friendly smiles. I would say the standard of services is good.
The menu offers a wide range of variety. My recommendation is the monkey-head mushroom. Cooked either with that healthy tantalizing ginger sauce or with that mouthwatering black pepper sauce.
